Talking here with Pete Gleadall long time studio engineer / producer for Pet Shop Boys and musical director when on tour. We run through an RME MADI live playback redundancy system we’ve recently designed & supplied for the forth coming tour.

The system is based around Apple Macbook Pro i7’s running the RME HDSPe MADI cards in Sonnet Thunderbolt to PCIe Chassis through the Logic 9 DAW with processing run through the UAD2 Satellite Quad DSP Processor.

Both MADI streams are fed through the DirectOut Technologies EXBOX BLDS switch at FOH giving redundancy with an staggering drop of only 2 samples!
